Apprentices visit Number One London
On 27 September 2017 thirteen of the Company's Apprentices enjoyed a private tour of the amazing arts and treasures on display in Apsley House, the London home of the Duke of Wellington known in earlier days as 'Number One London'. The after-hours tour, with the kind permission of the Duke of Wellington, was arranged by Liveryman Ray Williams and conducted by the Curator Josephine Oxley. Hon Court Assistant Roy Penrose and Court Assistant David Lee also attended.
The photo shows the attendees and Josephine Oxley in front of the 11'5" high statue of Napoleon as 'Mars the Peacemaker' by Antonio Canova.
