Founders Service and Supper

Posted: 24th February 2020

We were honoured once again to be able to hold our Founders Service in the Chapel Royal of St Peter Ad Vincula at HM Tower of London, particularly in this the 500 year celebration of the Chapel Royal.

Immediately before the Order for Evening Prayer commenced, our Master, Mr Michael Barley, Clothed two Honorary Liverymen, Alderman Mr Vincent Keaveny and The Hon Elizabeth Green.

The service itself was a wonderful occasion conducted by The Reverend Canon, Roger Hall, MBE.

The choir, under the direction of the Master of Music, Colm Carey, BMus added perfectly to the evening.

A particularly poignant moment of the Service was when the Master read the Memorial Roll of Members who have died.

Following the Service, our twenty-year celebration continued with drinks and a supper in the nearby Leonardo Royal London City Hotel. This part of the evening was generously sponsored by Axis Communications.

After the meal the Master presented a memorial plaque to seven of our Principal Founding Members present: John Purnell; Simon Imbert; Una Riley; Peter French; Steve Neville; Roy Ramm and Richard Monk.
